Specialist Hormone Therapy (Rx) PCD Franchise

Schedule H hormone and hormone-modulating tablets for specialist prescribers, hospital pharmacies and institutional supply.

Overview for distributors

Hormone Therapy: what a business partner is supplying

These molecules are prescribed by gynaecologists, gynae-oncologists and oncologists strictly per their package inserts. They suit partners who already supply hospital and institutional pharmacies and can handle Schedule H record-keeping.

This segment groups FertiLogic’s four Schedule H specialist tablets for partners who supply hospitals, institutional pharmacies and specialist clinics: PITURESS (megestrol acetate 160 mg), LETROLOGIC (letrozole 2.5 mg), PITPROG (dydrogesterone 10 mg) and REPLIMONE (estradiol valerate 2 mg).

Megestrol acetate and letrozole are the specialist end of the range. Megestrol acetate is a high-strength progestational agent and letrozole is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor; both are prescribed by specialists, including oncologists and gynae-oncologists, strictly as per their approved package inserts, and the letrozole pack directs use by a cancer specialist or gynaecologist. Neither is a product for general detailing; they suit partners with existing hospital or institutional relationships.

Portfolio fit

How Hormone Therapy fits a gynae PCD portfolio

Dydrogesterone and estradiol valerate are also the whole of Luteal Phase & Hormone Support — the difference is the channel. Luteal support is detailed to gynaecology and obstetric OPDs; this segment is aimed at hospital and institutional pharmacies and specialist prescribers, and adds megestrol acetate and letrozole.

It fits partners who already manage Schedule H record-keeping and institutional purchase processes. For most new partners it makes more sense as an addition to a gynaecology portfolio than as a starting point.

Shared molecules with other segments

Shared stock serves more than one segment, so adding an overlapping segment needs fewer new SKUs.

Promotional support

  • Call list: gynaecologists, gynae-oncologists, oncologists, and hospital and institutional pharmacies.
  • Free MR visual aids are provided for doctor detailing — ask the partner desk which materials are currently available for PITURESS, LETROLOGIC, PITPROG and REPLIMONE.
  • Megestrol acetate and letrozole are specialist-only molecules and are not included in general detailing. Letrozole is described only by its package-insert indications; all material stays within the package insert.

Promotional inputs are for registered medical practitioners and pharmacists only, never for patients.
